When watching the boxing, no matter how big a fan we actually are, we all love to analyse what is going on. Who better to hear talking about a big fight than one of the greatest fighters of all time, however, in the Baddest Man on the Planet Mike Tyson. The matter at hand is regarding Iron Mikeâs breakdown of the Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez bout from the weekend. Canelo was, of course, heavy favourite going into the bout, but instead, he picked up just the second defeat of his pro career. Russian Dmitry Bivol was the man to beat Canelo.Tyson points to Caneloâs jab, or lack thereof, as the reason for his defeat. Speaking in a video posted to social media, Tyson said: "I just think if Canelo was using his jab effectively, hard, the guy [Bivol] wouldnât have been able to come in."The guy was coming in because he wasnât worried about Caneloâs jab. So he got more aggressive, he got brave. If heâs not jabbing, he has no defence. If heâs not gonna jab, the guyâs gonna walk right in on him like he did."In the clip, the legendary boxer then took to his own punchbag to demonstrate where and how he thinks Canelo went so wrong.
"Next fight â use your jab, different fight," he continued.
"When he [Bivol] was jabbing, Canelo should have been moving, slipping the jab, anticipating the combination. If he was slipping the jab, the guy wouldnât throw the combination.
"If Canelo wouldâve used his jab, I was discussing with my wife [saying], âheâs not using his jabâ, then the next round I saw him using his jab so his corner mustâve been telling him the same thing. I believe if he used his jab it wouldâve been a different fight."
Canelo isnât used to defeat, this being just his second in his entire career, and so is keen to secure a rematch.

There has been talk of a third fight with Gennady Golovkin, but the Mexican now has more pressing issues to resolve.
Bivol isnât a pushover, and there was a lot of assumption that Canelo would prevail, however, the Russian is now 20-0 after this win in Nevada and will be hoping to make it 21 consecutive wins if a rematch does take place.
