Nick Chubb's incredible workout footage should leave Cleveland Browns fans buzzing

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb has shown off his incredible strength as he gets ready for the upcoming NFL season.

In a season that offered so much hope for the Cleveland Browns in 2021 following their impressive 2020 season that saw them win their first playoff game since 1994, Nick Chubb was one of the few bright spots in a season that sort of fizzled out.

In just 14 games, he rushed for 1,259 yards in a trio with fellow running back Kareem Hunt and D’Ernest Johnson that seemed like it could give the Browns the foundation for something special, but in the end saw them finish with an 8-9 record and 3rd in the AFC North.

With the team’s 2nd highest running back Johnson only putting up 534 rushing yards, whilst their top receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones only had 597 receiving yards, you could argue that Chubb carried the team on his back.

But it isn’t just teams that he puts on his back, he puts weights on there too, and it turns out he can put a lot of it on there.

Working on those explosions

The 2022 NFL offseason is well underway as teams report back ahead of next season, and with the NFL’s schedule set to come out this Thursday, the season will soon be here before you know it.

And whilst they aren’t going to be hitting anyone quite yet, they are getting their bodies ready for when they do so, and judging by the video that Chubb’s brother Zach posted on his Instagram story, which was then relayed by the Browns on Twitter, it’s going to take a lot to bring the 26-year-old down as he was shown squatting 675lbs:

Now NFL players benching a lot isn’t exactly a surprise, especially if you take a look at the size of some of them, but when you consider that Chubb is listed at just 5’11 and weighs just 227lbs, for him to be able to put up that much is an incredible feat of strength.

You just have to hope that all this work pays off, because this year is going to be crucial for the Browns, and they are going to need Chubb to be just as good if not better if they are able to make it a success, and these extra gains could be what pushes them over the top.
