Haaland, Foden, Saka: Which U21 player has the most goal contributions in 21/22?

Manchester City are on the verge of signing Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Norwegian striker has already undergone a medical and his release clause – which is believed to be somewhere around €60 million – will soon be paid by the Premier League champions.
City’s acquisition of Haaland is pretty scary for the rest of European football, as it’s hard to envisage a world in which he doesn’t score a ridiculous amount of goals for the club.
The 21-year-old is already one of the best strikers on the planet, which is proven by the fact that he’s netted 85 goals in just 88 games across all competitions at Dortmund.
In 2021/22, Haaland’s been as lethal as ever, despite missing chunks of the campaign with various injuries.
He’s been restricted to just 29 appearances, but still has 28 goals and eight assists to his name.

However, Haaland is not the player aged 21 or under with the most goal contributions in European football this season.
The former Red Bull Salzburg man has to make do with second place in that regard.
Let’s take a look at the top 25 over on Transfermarkt…

Vinicius is currently one ahead of Haaland and it’s likely the Real Madrid man will remain at the top, as he has more games remaining in the season – including the Champions League final.
The Premier League is represented by Haaland’s soon-to-be City teammate Foden and Saka, while Bellingham is the other English player to feature.
Gareth Southgate will certainly be pleased with that ahead of the World Cup later this year…
