Mike Tyson has revealed talks for a boxing match with Jake Paul have officially started.

'The Baddest Man on the Planet' broke the news to Hollywood actor Bill Maher during an appearance on his podcast earlier this week.

Paul famously sent Iron Mike a message where he told the 55-year-old to 'make the fight happen'.

And Tyson has now confirmed that he would 'absolutely' love to fight the YouTuber if they can make it happen.

Maher, 66, asked: "Is it Jake Paul who wants to fight you?"

Tyson, 55, revealed: “Yeah, I’m going to call him sometime on Friday, and we’re going to talk.”

Maher added: "Would you consider actually doing that?"

To which Tyson replied: "Absolutely."

The 55-year-old ring legend returned to the ring two years ago to face Roy Jones Jr in what was his first bout since retiring against Kevin McBride in June 2005.

And while he was in half a mind to hang up his gloves immediately afterwards, it seems he isn't quite fully prepared to walk away from the sport completely.

Speaking on his podcast 'Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson', he said: “I was going to stop but they started offering us some real dough so I’ll just wait until everything is substantial.

“Jake Paul believe it or not is more profitable than the champs.

“Listen, this guy probably brings like eighty million people to the table.

“Him alone, he could do eighty or ninety million.”

Mike Tyson has confirmed talks with Jake Paul

In fact, as far as Tyson is concerned, he will only return to the ring for one reason and one reason only.

He continued: “Hell yeah – only to break the record though, I’m not going to do it if I’m not going to break the record.

“Let’s do it Jakey!

“Wouldn’t that be cool and stuff?

“I love him so much – he’s so smart, right?

“But listen, you know what I worry about? I worry about him getting in trouble before the fight happens.

“I’d tell him ‘Hey man, you’re going to go to jail for real, chill out’.

“You can be wild without going to jail.

“This dude is crazy, he would be throwing stuff at people, bottles, and stuff.”

Paul, who is the younger brother of Logan Paul, has not responded to Tyson's comments.
