WWE are still planning the Tag Team Title unification match between RK-Bro and The Usos, according to a new report.

Originally WWE had promoted a unified Tag Team Title match between Raw Tag Team champions RK-Bro and SmackDown Tag Team Title holders The Usos for WrestleMania Backlash. However, that match was later changed to a six-man affair with Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns added to the bout - with reports suggesting that was the plan all along.

It doesn’t seem like the idea of the unification is going away though, with RK-Bro opening Raw last night to challenge the Usos for their belts and confirm they’ll be going to SmackDown this week to confront the blue brand’s tag team champions.

Speaking on the latest  Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer stated that WWE are still planning to go ahead with the match, but we might not see the titles become unified.

So this is what I was told on this. They are going to do the match, but as of right now, and also this can change, but they are not planning on actually unifying the titles, but they are planning on doing the match.

Assuming that is the plan, it would suggest that any match between the teams would end in screwy finish, allowing both pairings to keep their respective titles on their brands.

RK-Bro defeated The Street Profits on last night’s Raw to retain their Raw titles and remain one of the most popular acts on the WWE roster. Any eventual meeting with The Usos would be seen as a huge sell for WWE and expect if it is to take place that it would be at WWE’s next Premium Live Show Hell in a Cell on 5 June.
