WWE Hall of Famer Booker T says he wouldn’t be surprised to see Bray Wyatt make a return to WWE

Bray Wyatt was shockingly released from WWE in July 2021, ending a twelve-year stint across NXT and the main roster. At the time of his release Wyatt was a two-time WWE Champion but hadn’t been seen on WWE programming since the culmination of his feud with Randy Orton that finished at WrestleMania 37.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed a potential return for the Eater of Worlds, outlining that Pat McAfee’s mention of The Fiend’s name during WrestleMania Backlash maybe no accident.

Pat McAfee actually mentioned Bray Wyatt on the show last night [WrestleMania Backlash], I don’t know if that’s a precursor, I don’t know if that’s a signal, a spoiler, or teaser. But, normally, there’s a method to all the madness. Like I said, Pat McAfee mentioned Bray Wyatt on the show last night, so we don’t know what’s about to happen. And I’m going to tell you right now, I would not be surprised one bit if Bray Wyatt was to show up in the WWE.

McAfee name dropped The Fiend during Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s Championship defeat to Ronda Rousey. Seeing a fan dressed-up as Bray Wyatt in the front row, he remarked that ‘The Fiend’ is here, sparking speculation that a return to the company could be imminent for the 34-year-old.

Since his departure from WWE, Wyatt has kept a low profile and is yet to step back into a wrestling ring for any company but hasn’t ruled out a comeback. Opening up during a recent Instagram Q&A over WrestleMania weekend by stating that he couldn’t imagine spending the rest of his life without stepping in the ring again. However, admitted the timing would have to be right.

Away from wrestling, Wyatt is trying his hand at in Hollywood, with close friend Jason Baker - owner of Callosum Studios - confirming in November that the pair are working on a feature film together.
