Boxer's daughter loses shoe at starting blocks, goes back to put it on, somehow still wins 200m race

The daughter of professional boxer Terence Crawford has gone viral on social media after winning an extraordinary 200m race – despite losing her shoe at the starting block.

The young girl, Lay Lay, lost her right sneaker at the start of the race and went back to retrieve it while her fellow competitors all sprinted off.

Rather than pulling out of the race, Lay Lay put her shoe back on and then ran at lightning-quick pace to catch her opponents.

Cheered on by her family members in the crowd, the youngster somehow managed to overtake all the other runners before crossing the finish line in first place – and by some distance, too!

It was a remarkable run and the footage has been shared hundreds of thousands of times on various social media platforms.

Her famous father, Terence, posted the clip on his Instagram page alongside the caption: “I just can’t stop thinking about my daughters track meet yesterday.

“She just doesn’t have a clue how much she just motivated me. This is the definition of not giving [up], heart and grit. She let it all hang out even when she was hit with adversity.”
