UFC star Conor McGregor has sent a warning to his rivals as he continues to prepare for a comeback later this year.

Last summer at UFC 264, McGregor was carted out of T-Mobile Arena after suffering a nasty leg break during his trilogy showdown with Dustin Poirier. While many fans felt as if he was performing well in the early stages of the first round, that didn’t take away from the worry surrounding his injury and whether or not he’d ever step back into the Octagon again.

Throughout the course of the last few months, though, ‘The Notorious’ has posted regular update videos to show off just how well training is going. He may not be back to 100% just yet but when he gets there, you’d have to imagine he’ll be all over Dana White like a rash in an attempt to get a fight booked.

The last couple of days have been particularly intriguing in the wake of UFC 274, with McGregor opting to be pretty active on social media after some incredible lightweight performances in Phoenix.

Now, in what seems to be a clear message to his 155-pound foes, the Irishman has warned them against speaking ill of him.

“I’m telling you, watch your mouth.”

Somehow, we don’t think this one tweet alone is going to be enough to stop them.

Who will McGregor face?

As a result of the ‘red panty night’ association with a Conor McGregor fight, we can safely assume that just about every fighter between 145 and 170 is going to be open to fighting the 33-year-old.

He may not be in his prime but at this level, his star power is what makes him unique - and it’s also what keeps him relevant.

If he decides to go up to welterweight then he’ll undoubtedly pursue a superfight for the title against Kamaru Usman. If that doesn’t come to fruition, he could also head into war with Jorge Masvidal, another man who knows how to sell pay-per-views.

At lightweight, it’s a whole different ball game.

He could take on Charles Oliveira for the strap, Justin Gaethje in a grudge match, Dustin Poirier for the fourth time - you can see where we’re going with this.

With that being said, ruling out a third meeting with Nate Diaz wouldn’t be particularly wise either.
