Miami Dolphins fans should be getting incredibly excited as footage has emerged of Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill working out together.

One of the biggest bits of news that occurred this offseason was the Miami Dolphins giving up a ton of picks to acquire the speedy wide receiver from the Kansas City Chiefs in a bid to help their offence.

It was certainly a kings ransom in terms of what the Dolphins were made to give up for him, their 1st, 2nd and 4th round picks in this year’s draft along with 4th and 6th round selections in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Whilst it might seem a lot on paper, you could argue that Hill, nicknamed ‘Cheetah’ as a result of his tremendous speed, is one of the few players in the league who could go for such an amount and be seen as ‘worth it’.

Why’s he so special?

During his six seasons in the league so far, four of them have been seasons of more than 1,000 receiving yards which have produced 56 touchdowns, and that’s before you get to his 719 rushing yards with 6 touchdowns as one of the league’s best double-threats.

All of this makes is pretty obvious why the Dolphins, who finished 9-8 last season and finished 25th in terms of total offence with total 5,219 yards, would want to bring him on board in order to give them a better passing attack and take them over the top.

Already getting to know each other

Hill has shown what he can do with Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback, but having to do it with Tua Tagovailoa will be a different matter entirely. The 24-year-old hasn’t exactly dazzled in his first two seasons in the NFL so far, putting up just 4,704 yards on the air and ground, which has resulted in just 33 total touchdowns.

But they look to be building up a repertoire already together and are already connecting on deep balls as the Dolphins continue their offseason workouts:

Now obviously this is just in practice, they’re not even in pads yet for example, but the more of these they complete, the more likely they can do it in games when they do come around.
