Tottenham target Arnaut Danjuma would like to come back to England, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

The Dutchman has thrived at Villarreal this season following his move from Bournemouth last summer, and he is now being linked with a switch to Antonio Conte's side.

What is the latest news involving Danjuma?

According to 90min, Tottenham sent officials to go and watch Danjuma and his team-mate Pau Torres in Villarreal's Champions League semi-final tie against Liverpool.

Danjuma's Champions League campaign ended in disappointing fashion, with the 25-year-old winger watching his side lose the second leg of that encounter with the Reds from the sidelines. However, it was a positive tournament for him and his team overall.

In 11 appearances, Danjuma scored six times, including against European giants Juventus and Bayern Munich.

If that impressed Tottenham and they now want to buy him, the price they could be looking at is £45m - his release clause.

What has Bridge said about Danjuma?

Bridge has told GIVEMESPORT that he has heard that the former Bournemouth man is more than open to returning to England.

Speaking to GMS, the Sky Sports journalist said: "The little bits I've heard here and there is that he'd like to come back to England. He's enjoyed his time in Villarreal, but I don't know how happy he is there."

Who could be in trouble at Tottenham if Danjuma arrives?

Lucas Moura. The Brazilian is already on the periphery following Dejan Kulusevski's arrival back in January.

Over the last few months, he has mostly been restricted to cameos from off the bench, with Conte preferring Kulusevski and Son Heung-min in the wide positions.

According to Football Insider, the north London club want to keep hold of Moura, but the addition of another wide player would surely push him closer to the exit door.

As well as Moura, Steven Bergwijn could be another casualty of Danjuma's potential arrival. He has already spoken about his lack of game time at Tottenham, telling Algemeen Dagblad (via TEAMtalk): "A place in the starting line up? Here? I honestly don’t think so. The attack works well, but I don’t get to play much.”

With all of the above being said, if Tottenham are not willing to pay Danjuma's release clause, then snapping him up this summer could prove difficult.

The Netherlands international, who has been described as "exceptional", is not someone Villarreal will want to lose, especially after just buying him.
