Scottish UFC star Paul Craig has got news of his next assignment.

The former school teacher turned MMA fighter is set to go up against Swiss kickboxer Volkan Oezdemir at UFC London.

Since his Octagon debut in 2016, the Scotsman has earned a reputation as a submission specialist, securing no less than seven stoppage victories.

Craig, nicknamed 'Bearjew', has been wanting to stay active since his first round submission victory over Nikita Krylov in April.

And he has finally got the big name he has been for so long in the form of Oezdemir.

Oezdemir, who made his debut five years ago at UFC Fight Night 104, will be fighting for the first time since suffering a unanimous decision defeat to surging contender Magomed Ankalaev.

Craig is joined on the July 23 card this year by Liverpool welterweight Darren Till who is taking on Jack Hermansson.

While Muhammad Mokaev is set to step into the Octagon again for the second time this year to face off with former LFA flyweight champion Charles Johnson.
