Arsenal will grind out a victory against Newcastle on Monday which will damage Tottenham's chances of qualifying for the Champions League, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Antonio Conte's side closed the gap on their north London rivals to just one point following a 3-0 victory on Thursday, cranking up the pressure on the Gunners ahead of their trip to St James' Park.

What happened against Arsenal?

The message was simple for Spurs heading into the game, win or forget about playing in Europe's elite competition next season. A draw wouldn't have completely ended their hopes, but it would have left Arsenal four points clear with just two games remaining.

But Conte's charges rose to the occasion by producing a fine performance to secure their biggest ever Premier League victory over the Gunners.

Harry Kane continued his exceptional record in this fixture by breaking the deadlock before Arsenal's task got even harder when Rob Holding was sent off for two bookable offences.

And it took Tottenham less than five minutes to make their numerical advantage count after Kane headed home to make it 2-0 at the far post just before half-time.

The game was over as a contest early in the second half when Heung Min Son poked home his third.

The result means that Tottenham will climb above their rivals should they beat Burnley on Sunday, increasing the pressure on Arsenal, who know that any slip against Newcastle will leave Spurs in pole position.

What did Bridge say about Arsenal?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "The other week I refused to watch West Ham vs Arsenal, I thought West Ham would just lay down, they had such a big game against Frankfurt.

"People were saying Moyes will take it seriously because he wants to get into the Europa League, and I was saying 'lads, he's two games away from the Champions League' but he didn't.

"He played Rice and Bowen, but Arsenal still ground out a win, and I just have this horrible fear Arsenal will do it again at St James' Park by the odd goal, a late corner or something like that."

Who is favourites for top four?

Heading into the final two fixtures, we're still no closer to knowing who'll claim the final Champions League spot.

Arsenal have the one point advantage, but Tottenham have the better fixtures, which could prove crucial in their bid to overtake their greatest rivals.

Mikel Arteta's men face Newcastle in their final away game, before hosting an Everton side who could be battling relegation on the final day of the season.

Arsenal are in the driving seat but having blown the chance to qualify with victory on Thursday, they could find themselves fifth by the time they travel to Tyneside.
