That spirit has been a key part of Liverpool's success under the German, and it was something that was clear to see in the early seasons of his tenure.

It's a mantra that each and every member of the squad needs to buy into if they are to have any hope of succeeding at Anfield and one that has served the squad well over the last few seasons.

Never was that camaraderie better on show than in a post-match interview during the 2018/19 season with James Milner and Mohamed Salah.

Having just waltzed his way to an electric hat-trick against Bournemouth, Salah was unsurprisingly named man of the match while Milner was tasked with presenting him the trophy.

However, with Milner having also made his 500th Premier League appearance on the day, Salah refused to accept the award, instead handing it straight back to Liverpool's vice-captain.

Brilliant stuff.

“I have to congratulate him for his amazing career. I hope I have more games like this in my career. But I will not take it [the award from Milner],” Salah explained.

Liverpool will be hoping for a lot more trophy shenanigans by the time this season comes to a close.
