Drew McIntyre v Roman Reigns is the current plan for WWE Clash at the Castle in September.

For the first time since 1992, WWE is set to hold a big stadium show in the United Kingdom later on this year.

The show, named Clash at the Castle, will take place in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium, and fans in the UK are rather excited.

A UK pay-per-view is something that Drew McIntyre has been pushing for several years now, and the Scotsman dream is set to become a reality later this year.

Speaking of McIntyre, reports state that the former WWE Champion is going to have a big part to play in the show later this summer, as expected.

Dave Meltzer explains in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the working plan is for Drew to feud with Roman Reigns heading into the show.

The plan for the show, as of right now, will see McIntyre challenge Reigns for his Undisputed WWE Universal title at the show.

The working idea is Reigns vs. McIntyre on 9/3 in Cardiff.

What this means for Tyson Fury remains to be seen, as a popular theory was that WWE was going to have Fury and McIntyre wrestle in Cardiff.

Just last month, after beating Dillian Whyte, Fury told GiveMeSport that fans shouldn't rule him out of fighting at Clash of the Castle, which you can read more about by clicking here.

So, what Fury does at the show remains to be seen, but as of right now, the plan isn't for him to work a match against Drew McIntyre.

There are still four months between now and Clash at the Castle, so stay tuned to GiveMeSport for any potential updates over the coming weeks on what WWE is planning for the show.
