Brock Lesnar had a furious reaction after only being paid $250,000 for one WWE match by Vince McMahon.

Brock Lesnar is one of WWE's top stars, and has been treated as such during his two runs with the company.

Coming with a position at the top of the card is the pay cheque that comes with that, and Lesnar will be paid big money for all of his matches.

However, back in 2004, Lesnar was left furious with how much he was paid for one of his outings, this one being at WrestleMania.

At WrestleMania XX in April 2004, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar had one of the worst big matches in WWE history.

Both men were headed out of WWE after the match, and the crowd became aware of that, so turned on the match completely.

Jim Ross has explained, back in 2021, that both men were paid only $250,000 for his spot in the match, and Brock wasn't happy.

“I remember, the pay-off for WrestleMania 20, he [Lesnar] made $250,000 and so did Goldberg.”

The WWE Hall of Famer said that Lesnar phoned WWE and wanted to speak to Vince McMahon, feeling he wasn't paid enough for the match.

I remember sitting in my office in Stamford when Vince’s assistant said ‘Brock Lesnar is on the line, he wants to talk to Vince and Vince wants him to talk to you’. So that was my prep for that conversation.

“I got on the phone to him and he’s in a foul mood because he thought he got screwed with his pay-off.”

Ross spoke to Lesnar about the situation, explaining that Brock felt like he was being "screwed" by the company, and even hung up the phone on the exec

I said, ‘what are you basing this on? Did you do a forensic study of the finances of this event? Or did one of your buddies tell you that you got screwed with your pay-off? You have to give me something here. You didn’t like it?’

“And he said ‘I just think the guys screwed me’. I said, ‘well, we didn’t screw you and I’m sorry you feel that way’. He hung up on me. He’s a very unique guy.”

Ross went on to say that he was happy that the conversation took place over the phone, rather than in-person.

“I didn’t have a problem with him hanging up on me. He heard his answer: ‘You’re not getting any more money, we think we paid you fairly’. Thank God he was on the phone and not staring me down the gullet! He’s a little intimidating. We were a little bit shocked it came to that.”
