Khabib Nurmagomedov single-handedly rattling the entire Conor McGregor fanbase on Twitter is a sight for sore eyes.

Only a few days back, the UFC legend took to Twitter to express his thoughts about the upcoming Charlies Oliveira vs Islam Makhachev.

The Russian called for a fight to be finally arranged for the two, stating how exciting it would be were the bout to happen.

It is common knowledge that Makhachev is Khabib’s protege, which obviously means every tweet about him will be of interest to any Oliveira fan and, yes, you guessed it right, McGregor’s fans too.

And that is exactly how a video of Khabib battering The Notorious ended up in the replies to his tweet. A Twitter user by the name of ‘KHARBOT’ put the video with the caption:

“For all Conor fans coming to hate. just a reminder,” reminding the Irishman’s fans of his defeat to the undefeated UFC legend.

This is one rivalry that never ceases to amaze, does it? As indeed, can, in fact, be said about Oliveira vs. Makhachev, which really does need to happen.

After being stripped of his title at UFC 274 for the most ridiculous reason ever, the belt is now up for grabs and word is that Makhchev might go up against him for a smash and grab.

Speaking of the possibilities of the clash, Oliveira had some positive words; however, he has insisted that the Russian will still have to fight Beneil Dariush first, who he was supposed to take in February - the fight was cancelled at the time.

Speaking to Trocacao Franca, he said: “I think the reality is, Makhachev has to fight Dariush first.

“They both have to fight and then we’ll see who we’re fighting or not. Makhachev is super tough and deserves all the respect in the world. Dariush is also super tough and has a great team.”

“Everyone I beat, I’ve made it pretty clear. I never let it go the distance, I always finish them. Makhachev and Dariush are the two guys I haven’t fought yet and they both have to make this fight happen.

"Maybe [the next contender] comes from this fight. The thing is, it makes no difference to me. I’ll be ready. The champion’s name is Charles Oliveira.”
