Liverpool and Chelsea contested the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

Trent Alexander-Arnold started for Liverpool at right-back and it didn't take him long to show yet again what a superstar he is.

Luis Diaz was terrorising Chelsea to start the game and he was sent clear on goal in the 12th minute after a quite exquisite pass by Alexander-Arnold.

The Liverpool right-back received the ball in his own half.

He looked up and spotted the run of Diaz, before finding his teammate with a delicious defence-splitting ball with the outside of his foot.

The Colombian was through on goal but he could not find a way past Edouard Mendy, who produced a fine save. Watch the moment below...

That is just glorious by Alexander-Arnold.

Imagine having the ability to pull off a pass of that quality with the outside of the boot.

It's a shame that Diaz wasn't able to find the net. The Liverpool defender's pass really did deserve a goal.

His pass went down well on social media and you can view some reaction below...

Diaz's miss wasn't costly, though, as Liverpool went on to win the trophy.

Both sides had chances aplenty for the remainder of the game but neither team could break the deadlock.

The game was eventually decided by penalties.

The shootout went to sudden death after misses from Cesar Azpilicueta and Sadio Mane.
