Alexa Bliss has undergone quite the transformation through her nine-year career with WWE.

She joined the organisation in 2013, but it wasn’t until May 2014 that she made her ring entrance as a glitter fairy come cheerleader.

All pig-tailed blonde hair and silver boots, this fluffy, bubblegum persona matched her wrestling abilities at that stage of her career.

Initially beginning her WWE life on NXT, she definitely wasn’t pulling up trees. It was on promotion to SmackDown in 2016 that she really took her game to the next level, winning her first title in a Table, Ladder and Chairs match against Becky Lynch in December of that year.

As her wrestling skills developed and her ambitions increased, her look was adjusted. Taking inspiration from Harley Quinn, she became a cruel and calculating villain.

The SmackDown title was lost and then regained before she moved over to Raw, and within three weeks of being on Monday nights, she won the women’s title at Payback on April 30, 2017 against Bayley. In doing so, becoming the first woman to win both titles.

The titles are gone, but Alexa Bliss’ appeal remains all these years later.

The look has taken a different direction as well. A distinctly goth look is the latest change to her character, with her heavy make-up and lips giving her a rather deathly look.

Not all fans are won over by this new, darker change of direction, but it is a role that Alexa is enjoying playing.

After nine years in the business, Alexa Bliss has excelled at reinventing herself, her style and her abilities in the ring, and is still one of the female’s biggest draws.

Fans might not always agree on her next direction, but there’s no doubting her ability to get people talking and watching.

It’s the entertainment business after all.
