Zlatan Ibrahimovic was so fired up ahead of AC Milan’s crunch Serie A fixture against Atalanta on Sunday that he accidentally broke the windscreen on the team bus.The veteran striker and his teammates were greeted by thousands of fans as they made their way to the San Siro.Victory over Atalanta would leave Milan a significant step closer to winning their first league title since 2011 and the sight of so many passionate supporters lining the streets and cheering the team sparked a wild reaction from Zlatan. The striker put both hands on the windscreen before hitting it, with some force, twice with his right hand. The 6ft 5in taekwondo black belt clearly doesn’t know his own strength because he broke the window in the process.A big crack was seen in footage posted on Twitter and the driver of the team bus can be seen pointing this out. He couldn’t believe it and must have been fuming.

Ibra, who may have to fork out for the windscreen to be repaired, turns 41 in October but certainly hasn’t lost that hunger to score goals and win trophies.

In 26 appearances in all competitions this season, the Sweden international has netted eight goals.

And he looks set to add yet another league title to his extensive silverware collection after Milan beat Atalanta 2-0 courtesy of goals from Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez.

Hernandez’s solo effort with 15 minutes remaining is undoubtedly one of the best goals of the 2021-22 campaign.

In order to finish the season as champions, though, Milan will need to finish the job next weekend when they travel to Sassuolo.

Rivals Inter, who sit two points behind the Rossoneri in second place, will be hoping to capitalise on any slip-ups when they take on 16th-placed Sampdoria on the same day.

When will Zlatan Ibrahimovic retire?

As for Zlatan, his future beyond this season remains unclear as things stand.

Reports in February suggested that he would be handed another one-year contract extension but nothing has been announced so far.

It’s possible that he may decide to call time on his illustrious career, especially if Milan win the league next weekend.

That wouldn't be a bad way to bow out, would it?
