Manchester United ace Paul Pogba could be on his way to Juventus, according to journalist Jacque Talbot.

The £49.5m-rated midfielder is out of contract this summer and he is expected to end his six year stay at Old Trafford at the end of the season.

What's the latest news involving Pogba?

After rejecting a switch to Manchester City, Juventus have seemingly moved into pole position to sign the France international, who'll be a free agent once his Red Devils deal runs out next month.

According to the Telegraph, Rafaela Pimenta, one of the late Mino Raiola's representatives, has been in Turin to discuss a potential return to the Old Lady for the midfielder.

The report says that Juventus invited Pimenta to Italy to begin discussions over a move back to Serie A, with Pogba now unlikely to stay in the Premier League, although PSG and Real Madrid are also in the running for his signature.

And Talbot reckons that with Paulo Dybala leaving Juventus this summer with his own contract running out, Massimiliano Allegri's charges are confident of re-signing Pogba.

What did Talbot say about Pogba?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "PSG and Juventus have offered him similar amounts, which is quite a fair bit less than what he's getting at United, but they've added on lucrative this, that and the other to bring it up.

"I don't think he would get on living in Paris, and it seems to me that Juventus are very confident of bringing him back."

Why do Juventus want to re-sign Pogba?

Pogba's six years in Manchester have been up and down to say the least, but on his day the Frenchman remains one of the top midfielders in European football.

Take this season alone. The 29-year-old might have only started a handful of top-flight games since the early weeks of the campaign, he's still directly contributed to 10 goals in 20 appearances.

Pogba's standout performance came when he produced an incredible four assists in one match against Leeds back in August, which helped him become the first player to create seven goals in the first four games of a Premier League season.

Overall, Pogba, who earns £290,000 per-week, has been involved in 90 goals in 233 games for the Red Devils, and although it hasn't always been plain sailing, Juventus, and Allegri in particular, have seen first hand what he's capable of, which explains why they're keen on a reunion.
