WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has confirmed that he’ll be stepping into the ring for one last time on July 31.

Over the last couple of weeks, rumours have been circulating online suggesting that Flair was looking to step back into the ring for one final match.

ESPN reported today that sources had told them that Flair would be wrestling in July, and now, the 73-year-old has confirmed the news.

Taking to Twitter, Flair confirmed the news, adding that the match will take place in Nashville on July 31 for Jim Crockett Promotions.

In his statement, Flair stated that he’s going to prove he’s ‘The Man’ one last time, saying:

I Will Prove Once Again, That To Be The Man, You’ve Got To Beat The Man!

As of right now, there’s no word on who Flair is going to be facing at the show, so make sure you stay tuned to GiveMeSport for that.

Flair’s last match came in 2011 back in TNA (IMPACT Wrestling), when he worked a match with fellow WWE Hall of Famer Sting.

If we’re looking at just WWE, ‘The Nature Boy’ hasn’t worked a match since his showdown with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XXIV in 2008.

The match takes place the day after SummerSlam, which also takes place in Nashville, which is likely why that was the location chosen for what will be a historic clash.

Some fans are reluctant to see Flair wrestle again, mainly because of the various health issues he’s faced over the last few years, and the fact he’s in his 70s.

Flair has nearly died quite a few times, and has been in a coma twice, so some portions of the wrestling community are worried what could happen to Flair if he takes a bad bump during the match.

Regardless, we do know that Flair is going to be stepping into the ring for one final match in just over two months time.
