Antonio Brown drops big claim about his future on Twitter

Antonio Brown has hinted what his future might hold as he posted a comment on Twitter about what he might do next. 

When you think of Antonio Brown, you are sort of stuck in two worlds as to what comes to the most prominence and what you remember most about him after he entered the league back in 2010 as a 6th-round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

You can either be drawn to the first nine years of his career that saw him rack up over 12,000 receiving yards in the regular and postseason, 80 touchdowns and some of the most incredible, athletic plays that you are likely to see:

Or you can think about the last three years that, whilst he’s still put up some reasonable numbers, have seen him involved in a number of issues off the field and most recently was seen having something of a meltdown on the sidelines as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on the New York Jets.

That stunt got him released from the Bucs before the season was over, and now the 33-year-old finds himself without a team and given how things ended for him in Tampa, along with all of his other indiscretions, you’d imagineit might be tough for him to find a team that wants to take him on.

Not giving up hope just yet?

However, despite this, Brown has taken to social media to proclaim what he wants to do with what little might be left of his NFL career.

Posting on Twitter, he claimed that he wanted to retire as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team that initially brought him into the league:

He would later clarify that he just wanted to retire with them, so perhaps he just wants to have a ‘one day contract’ so that he can end his career the way he started:

But given how things ended up between Brown and the Steelers, it might well be a long shot that they would even grant him permission to do the latter, let alone the former.

Whether that retirement is now, or later in his career if somebody else wants to take a chance on him, we’ll just have to wait and see.
