Manchester United and Tottenham have seen the biggest drop in the overall market value of their squad this season.
The football transfer market is an ever-changing eco-system.
Just a single performance is enough to cause a drastic fluctuation in a player's market value - much in the same way that one minor alteration in the business world could send a company's stock price soaring or crashing to the floor.
It's an interesting concept then to consider how much every Premier League clubs' total market value has changed since the season began.
It's not quite as simple as the best squads have seen the highest increase, in fact, in some cases it's exactly the opposite, as OLondonWorld discovered when they set out to rank each club based upon the difference in the change of their valuation.

1. Brentford
Start of season overall squad market value: £147.83m
Current squad market value: £207.81m
Overall percentage change: +40.6%
Most valuable player: Ivan Toney (estimated market value = £31.5 million)
The Bees have enjoyed an impressive first season in England's top-flight and as a result, have seen a drastic percentage increase in the value of their squad.
2. West Ham
Start of season overall squad market value: £255.38m
Current squad market value: £313.88m
Overall percentage change: +22.9%
Most valuable player: Declan Rice (estimated market value = £67.5 million)
Rice represents over a fifth of the Hammers overall squad value, although, it would take much more than a mere £67.5 million to snatch him away from the grasp of David Moyes.
3. Crystal Palace
Start of season overall squad market value: £193.91m
Current squad market value: £233.96m
Overall percentage change: +20.7%
Most valuable player: Wilf Zaha (estimated market value = £36m)
Zaha has long been Palace's most valuable asset and that's a trend that continues to this day.
4. Newcastle United
Start of season overall squad market value: £221.76m
Current squad market value: £261.81m
Overall percentage change: +18.1%
Most valuable player: Allan Saint-Maximin (estimated market value = £28.8m)
You can bank on this figure drastically rising between now and start of the 2022/2023 Premier League with the new owners set to invest a fortune into Newcastle.
5. Leeds United
Start of season overall squad market value: £220.28m
Current squad market value: £259.2m
Overall percentage change: +17.7%
Most valuable player: Kalvin Phillips (estimated market value = £45m)
Phillips' stock has probably dropped considerably since his stellar performance at the European Championships last summer, yet, he just pips Raphina as Leeds' most valuable player.
6. Burnley
Start of season overall squad market value: £114.93m
Current squad market value: £127.8m
Overall percentage change: +11.2%
Most valuable player: Dwight McNeil (estimated market value = £19.8m)
Burnley started the season with the lowest squad value of any team in the Premier League and despite making up ground on Watford and Norwich, still hold that title today.
7. Southampton

Current squad market value: £239.18m
Overall percentage change: +11%
Most valuable player: James Ward-Prowse (estimated market value = £28.8m)
Many teams would snap up Saints captain Ward-Prowse given the opportunity for a mere £29 million.

Current squad market value: £128.52m
Overall percentage change: +4.6%
Most valuable player: Ismaila Sarr (estimated market value = £24.3m)
The Hornets have endured an underwhelming season back in the Premier League and will be hoping they can hold onto star man Sarr to aid their bid in returning to the bigtime.
9. Brighton

Current squad market value: £229.5m
Overall percentage change: +2.8%
Most valuable player: Yves Bissouma (estimated market value = £31.5m)
A solid season from Brighton has seen the Seagulls marginally increase their squad value.
10. Aston Villa
Start of season overall squad market value: £386.37m
Current squad market value: £390.15m
Overall percentage change: +1%
Most valuable player: Ollie Watkins (estimated market value = £31.5m)
Aston Villa might have just signed Phillipe Coutinho, but Watkins remains their most valuable asset, with the 29-year-old Brazilian holding a transfer value of only £18 million.
11. Liverpool

Current squad market value: £810.45m
Overall percentage change: -0.4%
Most valuable player: Mo Salah (estimated market value = £90m)
The Reds have seen a minor decrease in their squad value, mainly due to certain players such as Jordan Henderson, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk all pushing around the 30+ mark.
12. Norwich City
Start of season overall squad market value: £133.47m
Current squad market value: £131.9m
Overall percentage change: -1.2%
Most valuable player: Max Aarons (estimated market value = £19.8m)
Norwich have been a real disappointment and they've seen a drop in their already inexpensive squad - by Premier League standards at least...
13. Arsenal
Start of season overall squad market value: £483.3m
Current squad market value: £468.9m
Overall percentage change: -3%
Most valuable player: Bukayo Saka (estimated market value = £58.5m)
It's surprising that the Gunners have seen a drop in their squad value given the quality young players they have littered throughout the club. However, the sale of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will no doubt have something to do with that.

14. Leicester City

Current squad market value: £463.32m
Overall percentage change: -7.3%
Most valuable player: Wilfred Ndidi (estimated market value = £54m)
Another surprising drop off, especially as Leicester haven't made any major player sales.
15. Everton
Start of season overall squad market value: £445.95m
Current squad market value: £402.98m
Overall percentage change: -9.6%
Most valuable player: Richarlison (estimated market value = £45m)
Everton's squad value of over £400 million really puts into perspective just how poorly that team has performed this season.
16. Manchester City
Start of season overall squad market value: £955.62m
Current squad market value: £863.37m
Overall percentage change: -9.7%
Most valuable player: Kevin De Bruyne (estimated market value = £81m)
Man City's original squad value of nearly one billion is simply mind boggling. The signing of Erling Haaland is only going to bump their figures up even higher come July.
17. Wolves
Start of season overall squad market value: £361.13m
Current squad market value: £316.8m
Overall percentage change: -12.3%
Most valuable player: Ruben Neves (estimated market value = £36m)
Wolves could do with some further investment to try and push them along as a mid-table Premier League club.

18. Chelsea
Start of season overall squad market value: £898.2m
Current squad market value: £766.8m
Overall percentage change: -14.6%
Most valuable player: Romelu Lukaku (estimated market value = £76.5m)
Chelsea have been usurped for second spot by league rivals Liverpool after witnessing an enormous drop off of over £100 million in their squad value.
19. Tottenham Hotspur

Current squad market value: £528.53m
Overall percentage change: -16.6%
Most valuable player: Harry Kane (estimated market value = £90m)
Similarly to Chelsea, Tottenham have seen a massive decline in the value of their players.

20. Manchester United

Current squad market value: £649.13m
Overall percentage change: -22.3%
Most valuable player: Bruno Fernandes (estimated market value = £81m)
And just like in most areas this season, United are in the worst position of all. There squad value has dropped by nearly a 1/4 of its original amount, which really is incredible.
