Sasha Banks and Naomi legitimately walked out of WWE Raw and refused to compete in the show, as they were scheduled to do.

Monday Night Raw was set to see a huge six-pack challenge main event the show, with the winner facing Bianca Belair at Hell in a Cell.

The match was set to see Sasha Banks face Naomi, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Nikki A.S.H and Doudrop, but it didn't end up happening.

Soon after the change, reports suggested that Naomi and Banks had actually walked out of the building and refused to compete in the match.

Fightful Select is reporting that the pair walked out of the show and outright left the building before their scheduled match last night.

Banks met with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon to speak about her "displeasure about a situation", but both individuals simply wouldn't budge.

The match would have had Naomi win, but the pair were unhappy about the direction of their tag team and the women's division as a whole, and spoke to Vince about it.

The issue also seems to have stemmed from a reported rejected pitch for Banks and Naomi to defend their tag titles against Doudrop and Nikki.

We're told that Sasha Banks and Naomi's issues largely were concerns about the direction of their tag team and the division as a whole.

WWE has released a statement on the matter, claiming that Banks and Naomi were uncomfortable working with two of the members of the match.

The statement reads as follows:

When Sasha Banks and Naomi arrived at the arena this afternoon, they were informed of their participation in the main event of tonight's Monday Night Raw.

During the broadcast, they walked into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis office with their suitcases in hand, placed their tag team championship belts on his desk and
walked out.

They claimed they weren't respected enough as tag team champions. And even though they had eight hours to rehearse and construct their match, they claimed they were uncomfortable in the ring with two of their opponents even though they'd had matches with those individuals in the past with no consequence. Monday Night Raw is a scripted live TV show, whose characters are expected to perform the requirements of their contract.

It's worth noting that the talent that Fightful spoke to said that they hadn't heard of Naomi or Banks viewing anyone in the match as "unsafe", as the statement makes out, until it was released by WWE.

The talent themselves hadn't heard that Sasha and Naomi considered anyone "unsafe" until the statement was released.
