Formula 1 heads back to Europe this weekend for the latest edition of the Spanish Grand Prix.
The track has been on the calendar since the early 90s and in that time we have seen some fine drives from the likes of Michael Schumacher in 1996 through to Lewis Hamilton last year as Mercedes’ clever pit strategy saw him overhaul Max Verstappen in the closing stages.
This season, as ever, the track also provides a good opportunity for teams to assess exactly where they are in terms of the progress they have made since winter testing, given the circuit hosted the first days of running back in February as F1’s new era got underway.
How can UK fans watch round six of the season on TV, then? We take a look now…
Sky Sports, as ever, is the main place to be this weekend for every session.
Simon Lazenby will be anchoring the coverage whilst David Croft will be leading commentary with them joined by pundits and reporters like Ted Kravitz, Rachel Brooks and Martin Brundle delivering top insight and detail.
Sky use their Sky Sports F1 channel to cover every session of every race weekend live, from practice on Friday through to the race on Sunday, and have exclusive rights over all but one race this year; the British Grand Prix.
For those without Sky, Channel 4 show extensive highlights of the race every Sunday evening and their coverage also deserves plenty of credit, with the likes of David Coulthard providing analysis.
