Mark Williams fell agonisingly short of the final of the World Snooker Championship after coming out on the wrong end of a titanic battle with Judd Trump at the Crucible earlier this month. After Trump roared to what looked like an unassailable lead in the opening session, Williams showed his class and grit to mount a remarkable fight back.Williams hauled himself back to within one frame of Trump to stand on the precipice of one of the truly great sporting comebacks.Trump, however, managed to keep his cool under what was immense pressure to clinch the crucial frame and book his spot in the final with Ronnie O'Sullivan. The thought of having two of snooker's most seasoned competitors slugging out in the final was a salivating prospect for fans but it simply wasn't meant to be.So, with Williams falling short, his fans had to find other ways to get their fix and it has finally come in the form of a brilliant compilation video. In the clip we see some of Williams' more 'crazy' shots and, as a man known to love a little bit of the unorthodox, it makes for fantastic viewing.

Why do things the easy way when you can do thing the Williams way?

There's a reason the Welsh star has won no less than three world championships and the clip above gives us just a small taste of his genius.

Williams made headlines elsewhere this year after calling Stephen Hendry and 'idiot' for his views on Williams practising with an opponent before a clash.

"I don't see the problem with that," Williams told Eurosport after thrashing Jackson Page in Sheffield.

"I've seen other people say I'm trying to get in his head and stuff like that. Whoever thinks that are just idiots. If you think I'm trying to get into Jackson's head to try and win a match, you are an idiot!"
