The Jacksonville Jaguars have thrown some shade back at Pro Football Focus following a tweet by the company about quarterbacks.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently in the midst of a rebuild, their latest one as they attempt to get back to some level of relevance and respect within the league as they did in the mid-1990s, mid-2000s and their incredible 2017 season.

That rebuild began last year with the drafting of Trevor Lawrence with the #1 overall draft pick, who it’s fair to say didn’t exactly have the greatest of debut seasons in the league, completing less than 60% of his passes, throwin for just 3,641 yards and throwing a league leading 17 interceptions.

Which meant that they could only muster a 3-14 record, which brought them the #1 pick in this year’s draft, which they used on Travon Walker, the edge rusher from the University of Georgia.

So there really is only one way for the Jaguars to go, and that’s up, but in some people’s minds, there’s still a lot of work to do before they can be taken seriously.

What was said?

The Fantasy Football branch of Pro Football Focus posed the question on Twitter of which quarterback was likely to have a ‘breakout season’ in the NFL.

They gave people the options of Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears, Tua Tagovailoa from the Miami Dolphins, Daniel Jones of the New York Giants, Zach Wilson from the New York Jets, Mac Jones from the New England Patriots or Trey Lance from the San Francisco 49ers:

Jaguars take note

So they left Lawrence off the list entirely, and the Jaguars were not happy with that as they responded with something of a passive-aggressive tweet back to them, hinting that they were taking note of the apparent disrespect for not mentioning his name:

So obviously they think that Lawrence is set for something special in his second year with the franchise, and with a tweet like this they’re putting a little bit of pressure on him to deliver, otherwise it could come back and blow up in their face at the end of the campaign.
