The end of the Premier League season is precariously close, but we still have some massively important fixtures left - including Thursday's clash at Villa Park between Aston Villa and relegation candidates Burnley.

Burnley will be absolutely desperate for a result here. They currently sit one point behind Leeds with this being their game in hand, so this match up right here could really make or break their season. Aston Villa on the other hand don't have really much to play for here, however, a win would see them climb up to 11th place - which now is their overall aim to just finish as high up in the table as possible.

The Premier League will be going down to the final day this year, with Manchester City and Liverpool battling it out to be champions and Everton, Leeds and Burnley all still not safe from the drop. It's going to be an extremely exciting finish.

So, with this - let's take a look at everything you need to know about Aston Villa against Burnley.

An injury blow for Steven Gerrard's side as Ezri Konsa picked up an injury in the 50th minute during their 1-1 draw to Crystal Palace at the weekend. The English centre-back is now expected to be out for the rest of the season. He joins Leon Bailey and Kortney Hause on the sidelines for this one.

Burnley have been plagued recently with a plethora of injuries. Key centre-back pairing Ben Mee and James Tarkowski have a slim chance of returning, so they join Matej Vydra, Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Ashley Westwood in the medical bay.

Aston Villa Predicted XI: Martinez; Cash, Chambers, Mings, Digne; McGinn, Luiz, Ramsey; Buendia, Watkins, Coutinho

The odds heavily favour Aston Villa and this is the way we think this game will swing. Burnley have so many injuries and just don't possess the firepower to beat the Villans at home. 2-0 is our prediction.
