Everton could sell fan favourites Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Jordan Pickford 'for decent money' to allow Frank Lampard to 'rebuild' the squad at Goodison Park, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.

Lampard moved into the Toffees' hot seat in January and could look to freshen up his options when the transfer window reopens next month.

What's the latest news involving Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Pickford?

London rivals Arsenal and West Ham United have been put on red alert after it has emerged that Everton are ready to cash-in on Calvert-Lewin this summer.

The £37.8million-rated frontman has also attracted interest from Newcastle United, who are reportedly readying a big-money bid.

Calvert-Lewin's strike partner, Richarlison, is eyeing a Goodison Park exit due to looking to boost his chances of making Brazil's World Cup squad, leading to links with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Richarlison, who is valued at £45million by Transfermarkt, is known to be on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur as well.

The north Londoners, along with Newcastle, are also monitoring Pickford's situation after it was revealed Everton are willing to listen to offers for the £22.5million-rated goalkeeper.

What has Alex Crook said about the situation?

Crook believes Everton are in a sticky situation financially and, as a result, could look to find buyers for Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Pickford.

The talkSPORT reporter feels offloading the trio could allow Lampard to put his own stamp on the squad after avoiding Financial Fair Play sanctions.

Crook told GIVEMESPORT: "Everton need to sell because, obviously, they've got their financial problems in terms of FFP and the sanctions that have been in place on Alisher Usmanov.

"I think they're going to have to sell some players to generate funds and that's why I did a piece talking about Jordan Pickford, who has played well during this survival run-in.

"Him, Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are probably the three players they could sell for decent money and then give the money to Lampard to rebuild."

Why are there financial concerns at Everton?

The Russian invasion of Ukraine led to billionaire Usmanov's assets being frozen by the European Union and that has had an impact on Everton.

The Mail on Sunday claimed the sanctioning of Usmanov has left the Toffees with a black hole of up to £300million in their playing budget.

Additionally, according to The Athletic, Everton recorded a heavy loss of £120.9million for the last financial year, with the total wage to turnover ratio increasing from 89 per cent in 2019/20 to 95 per cent.
