There are plenty of people who say there is no such thing as being 'too rich', but apply that to the context of Chelsea's youth talent, and you'll find it's not true.Producing an immense number of academy talents from all age groups, Chelsea face a big job every season of managing their vast pool of incredibly talented youngsters, ensuring they develop properly and can make a professional career out of their potential.Within that, the law of averages would suggest that some make it at Chelsea, too. It's an incredible luxury to have youth stars bed into the first team and prove a success, but with the sheer number of talents Chelsea have on their books, they ought to make sure they do their best to ensure it does happen.Currently, the Blues have 24 players shipped out on loan for the 2021/22 season. In and among that embarrassment of youth talent riches are a couple of anomalies, mind you. Those anomalies being failed signings and former youth stars who have now overstayed their welcome.Youth stars, flops, it doesn't matter. We've taken it upon ourselves at GIVEMESPORT to gather all 24 loanees and give a short insight as to what the Blues should do with each player ahead of next season.

1. Nathan Baxter - Sell

Baxter will turn 24 before 2022 is over and is currently on his seventh loan spell. That's vast experience and enough to see him carve out a career as somebody's number one. Chelsea are set in the goalkeeper department, too. Time to move on.

2. Jamie Cumming - Sell

A similar story. Cumming is a little younger at 22 and has less loan experience, but won't be getting in at Chelsea anytime soon. He should move on.

3. Sami Tlemcani - Loan

At just 17 years old, Tlemcani was sent on his first ever loan away from Chelsea to get a taste of English men's football with Merstham. Getting the reps in while young is absolutely vital for the teenage keeper.

4. Ethan Wady - Loan

American stopper Wady has been building up a portfolio in the lower tiers of English football and should continue to do so and make the most of the opportunities that come while being with Chelsea.

5. Karlo Ziger - Loan

Ziger is a highly rated goalkeeper at youth level and has impressed at age groups beyond his years, notably proving his worth in the Premier League 2. A handful of loan spells could see him well positioned for a place in the squad in years to come.

6. Ethan Ampadu - Use

While Ampadu's loan spells haven't looked all that successful, having played for RB Leipzig, Sheffield United and Venezia all by the age of 21 is incredibly important. Already a Wales international, Ampadu can show his experience and versatility by plugging the emerging gaps in Chelsea's defence next season.

7. Juan Castillo - Sell

Signing for Chelsea in 2016, Castillo has spent the past two seasons on loan within the Football League and struggled somewhat, but gained valuable experience. He doesn't look ready for Chelsea, but could find form elsewhere in England.

8. Jake Clarke-Salter - Sell

Clarke-Salter turns 25 before the year is out and has had more than enough loans to try and break in at Chelsea. Coming off the back of a successful 2021/22 with Coventry, now is the time to find a permanent move.

9. Emerson Palmieri - Sell

Yes, Chelsea look set to have problems with depth at full back, and at 27, Emerson is a cost-effective fix. Should circumstances allow, though, this is the chance to bolster and refresh the position, not bring in players who previously haven't cut the mustard. Ben Chilwell needs stronger competition.

Emerson isn't the man for Chelsea

10. Levi Colwill - Use

If Chelsea weren't in such a crisis defensively with players leaving left right and centre, we would've said it was best for Colwill to get another loan under his belt to build on his mightily impressive spell with Huddersfield. However, the crisis has presented him with a path to the first-team and Chelsea must blood the 19-year-old in accordingly.

Colwill deserves a chance at Chelsea next season

11. Henry Lawrence - Loan

Lawrence headed out on his first loan spell at the beginning of the season with Wimbledon and has made 24 appearances in League One. The 20-year-old right back should build on this with another loan next season to gain more experience.

12. Ian Maatsen - Use

Subjected to interest from Borussia Dortmund if reports are to be believed, 20-year-old left back Maatsen could be the perfect addition at the back for Chelsea having already been loaned to Charlton and Coventry. A gap has opened up and they should integrate him.

13. Matt Miazga - Sell

The American centre back signed in 2016 and, aside from a handful of Chelsea appearances, has spent time on loan in England, Holland, Belgium and France. At 26 years old, he doesn't look at the required level. Time to go.

Matt Miazga has been at Chelsea since 2016

14. Baba Rahman - Sell

Signing for Chelsea for £14 million in 2015, Rahman arrived with a lot of promise, but has been caught in the loan cycle ever since. He deserves the chance to find a new permanent club and kick on properly.

Baba Rahman is still a Chelsea player

15. Dujon Sterling - Use

An option as competition for Reece James at right back or even at centre back, Sterling has shown his promise on loan at Blackpool and, at 22, deserves a shot within the first team next season. Thomas Tuchel is said to be high on Sterling, so it makes sense.

Sterling is liked by Tuchel

16. Tino Anjorin - Loan

Heading to Huddersfield halfway through the season to link up with Colwill, midfielder Anjorin hasn't quite made the same impact, but would benefit from a full season's loan, ideally in England. Returning to the Terriers wouldn't be a bad shout.

Time is still on the side of Anjorin

17. Tiemoue Bakayoko - Sell

Bakayoko returned for a second loan spell at AC Milan and has failed to make any impact at all as they chase down a first Scudetto in over a decade. Chelsea must stop treading water with the 27-year-old and finally sell.

18. Danny Drinkwater - Sell

There is potentially a solid and vastly experienced player in Drinkwater, for the right club. That club is not Chelsea. Has to go.

Drinkwater has been on loan at Reading

19. Conor Gallagher - Use

The Englishman has now proven with back-to-back loan spells within the Premier League that he can cut the mustard in the top flight. Crystal Palace will do everything they can to sign Gallagher permanently, but Chelsea must use him as a starting point for refreshing their midfield.

20. Billy Gilmour - Loan

Despite looking so endlessly promising when breaking through, Gilmour has come unstuck somewhat and struggled at relegated Norwich. Doesn't look ready to step in and add the bite Chelsea need in midfield, thus another loan spell feels most appropriate.

Gilmour needs another loan

21. Armando Broja - Use

After a bright start at Southampton, goals have dried up for exciting young forward Broja. That isn't a significant concern, though, as the top flight minutes are beneficial regardless. He could be a nice rotation option, and would diversify the way Chelsea attack. Tuchel is a fan, which could be key.

Chelsea should use Broja next season

22. Michy Batshuayi - Sell

Batshuayi has spent the 2021/22 season on loan in the Turkish Super Lig - the go-to division for former Premier League veterans and could've beens. He's got no way back in at Stamford Bridge. They need to move him on.

23. Mason Burstow - Loan

Young Burstow has his entire career ahead of him at just 18. Chelsea signed him in the mid-season transfer window, immediately loaning him back to Charlton. One to watch.

24. Bryan Fiabema - Loan

Similarly to Burstow, the world is Fiabema's oyster at this point. At just 19, the striker needs to gather as much experience as possible when his loan at Rosenborg is finished.

Fiabema is very young
