Take-Two has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V has now sold a total of 165 million units since the game released back in 2013.

GTA was initially released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and has since been rereleased on PS4 and Xbox One, along with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The game is now the second highest-selling game of all time, and it goes to show that Rockstar and Take-Two have created an absolute entertainment juggernaut.

GTA 6, of course, is said to be in development, but there has not been an update on when exactly that game will release.

Still, we at GiveMeSport have taken a look at the top 20 highest-selling video games of all time, featuring GTA V, of course, per Wikipedia.

It’s amazing to see how many games are actually Nintendo-based, with exactly half of these releases only coming out on Nintendo systems.

It’s also remarkable to see the legs of games such as Pac-Man, Tetris, and Pokemon Red, which all came out in either the 1980s or the 1990s.

The most recent release is 2020’s Nintendo Switch release Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Also, it is remarkable that Minecraft is such a juggernaut, with 73 million copies more sold than GTA.
