Former WWE Divas Champion AJ Mendez, better known as AJ Lee, looks absolutely shredded following the first round of Women Of Wrestling tapings.

Mendez took to Twitter to boast her new physique after tapings with the newly brought back promotion.

Since joining WOW as an executive producer, AJ Mendez has been completely inactive following a devastating spinal injury which led to her retirement in 2015.

Her final match would be on the March 30, 2015 on Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 31.

In a recent interview with Freddie Prinze Jr, Mendez discussed her love for wrestling and her continued involvement in the sport.

“And, to me, I love wrestling. I never stopped loving wrestling.

“This was the perfect way to re-join the world of wrestling, but also combine it with what I’m doing now [as a writer] and what I have a passion for now.

“But you know, what inspired me to join WOW, was the idea that it was women behind the scenes in every capacity and women in front of the camera in every capacity.”

Despite her inactivity in the ring, it seems Mendez has been keeping in serious shape.

The Twitter post shows that she’s been putting the hard yards in at the gym. Flexing her six-pack and shredded biceps, she looks as though she could hop straight back in there!

The Twitter post was captioned: “*Spends one week commentating women’s wrestling @wowsuperheros. “Sorry I’ve been m.i.a., mama’s been working.”

That she has been! Undoubtedly, there’s no spinal injury that can keep this woman from grinding in the gym.

Mendez was a fan favourite when she competed in the WWE, so fans will be happy to see her in shape and continuing her legacy in the sport of wrestling.

The three-time WWE Divas Champion will be the color commentator on the relaunched show, as well as executive producer alongside Jeanie Buss.
