Richarlison sends tweet to Carragher after Everton stay up

Hours after the full-time whistle, in the early hours of Friday morning, Richarlison sent an eyebrow-raising tweet to Carragher.

The South American tweeted: “Wash your mouth before you talk about me and Everton and I don't respect you.”

Wow.

Carragher recently criticised Richarlison

Richarlison presumably sent this tweet to the Sky Sports pundit after he was criticised by Carragher during last month’s Merseyside derby.

Carragher accused the Brazil international of faking an injury during the match, saying live on Sky Sports: “Honestly, get up, every week I watch him play like that! Get up, carry on.

“He’s been down three times already, [there’s] nothing wrong with him.”

However, replays appeared to suggest that Carragher’s criticism of Everton’s No. 7 was harsh.

Richarlison later posted a screenshot which showed he’d rolled his ankle while attempting to tackle Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

Clearly irked by Carragher’s criticism, Richarlison hadn’t forgotten what was said and made his feelings crystal clear after Everton’s dramatic victory over Palace.
