Konami has confirmed that the next update for eFootball 2022 will release on June 2, along with an official mobile version.

Version 1.1.0 is going to be the very first update that has been released since the full game launched in April.

It isn’t exactly clear what Konami are going to be adding to the game when the update launches, as their wording in the statement is relatively vague.

They claim that the version 1.1.0 update will release on June 2nd 2022, and the mobile version of eFootball PES 2021 will be re-launched as eFootball 2022.

In-game assets from the console version, plus various data, will carry over to the mobile game.

Konami has also claimed that further details of the update are set to be released in the game, on Konami’s official website, and on Twitter.

Support on some devices are also set to be cancelled “due to changes in the required operating environment”, but it isn’t exactly clear what this means.

This version of eFootball has been terribly received since it hit shelves.

eFootball 2022 are bringing out a major update titled 1.0.0.

On Metacritic, it has a critic score of 34 from 10 reviews, and has a user score of just 1.1 on PS5, from 199 ratings in total.

The 1.0.0 update, per IGN, was roundly criticized due to a lack of features.

It added a new mode, called Dream Team, and also made a number of gameplay changes but the likes of Master League, Co-Op, Match Lobby and Edit are all still missing from the game.

It remains to be seen if they will be added in with the next update, although it certainly feels as though they should have been included in the recent patch.

Of course, as soon as we have the official patch notes for eFootball 2022, we’ll let you know and bring you all the latest information!
