The holders will take on the seven-time champions in an eagerly-anticipated rematch of the 2019 Women’s Champions League Final.

Lyon emerged triumphed three years ago, defeating their opponents 4-1. Barcelona have not looked back since then, however, and are now favourites to lift the trophy for a second year in a row.

The Women’s Champions League Final is set to be played at the Allianz Stadium in the Italian city of Turin. With a capacity of 41,507, the venue is home to Serie A side Juventus.

Which teams are playing in the Women’s Champions League Final?

This year’s Women’s Champions League Final will be contested by Barcelona and Lyon.

Barcelona thrashed Chelsea 4-0 last year to clinch their first Champions League title. They have only lost one competitive match this season, falling 2-0 to Wolfsburg in the second-leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

Lyon have been the dominant force in the Champions League over the past decade, however. This is a record 10th final, and they could win an unprecedented eighth title.

They look to be back on top in the Division 1 Féminine, too. After losing the title to PSG last season, Lyon lead their opponents by five points with two matches to go.

Players to watch:

Ballon d’Or Féminin winner Alexia Putellas will likely run the show for Barcelona. She has achieved 17 goals and a league-leading 16 assists in the Primera División this season, and is the joint top-scorer in the Champions League with 10 goals.

Her midfield partner Aitana Bonmatí is another to keep an eye on, as is Caroline Graham Hansen in attack.

Catarina Macario is Lyon’s top goalscorer in the Champions League, hitting the back of the net seven times. The American international has also scored 10 times in Lyon’s past 12 matches in the Division 1 Féminine.

Ada Hegerberg is another player who is impossible to ignore. The Norwegian, the all-time top scorer in the Champions League with 58 goals, has returned from an ACL injury and looks as deadly as ever.
