Sony has confirmed that Horizon Forbidden West is set to be included with an upcoming PS5 restock as the developers announce their first console bundle.
IGN reports that the bundle has been spotted in various retailers in the United Kingdom, and could be purchasable over the next few months, as and when the console is on shelves.
It is also said to have a US listing on the PS Direct store.
The PS5 bundle, per the report, is £500 in the UK. That is actually a saving compared to how much the console costs on its own, and how much the game can be bought for.
The console is £450, while Horizon Forbidden West can be bought for £70, meaning you’ll be saving £20 if you buy the bundle.
IGN speculates that the US version of the bundle would likely cost $550, but the bundle has yet to be priced on American storefronts.
PS5 consoles have been available to buy as bundles previously, but they have always been at an outlet’s discretion, with the likes of Game and Walmart offering their own releases to go along with the console, such as FIFA or Call of Duty.
This is the first bundle to go into official packaging, and it makes sense, given that Horizon Forbidden West has been a tentpole release for Sony and the new console.
Aloy’s adventure has been exceptionally received critically, receiving a Metacritic score of 88 from 125 critic reviews.
The game also has a user score of 8 from 8,591 ratings, and is one of the best games to be released on the console in its short lifespan.
We’ll keep you updated as and when we know any more about potential PS5 bundles, as there are likely to be even more announced as the game library expands.
