Floyd Mayweather knocked down Don Moore with his punching power in exhibition fight

Floyd Mayweather Jr played out the third exhibition fight of his retirement in Abu Dhabi on Saturday night.
It’s now been five years since ‘Money’ hung up his gloves with a knockout victory over UFC champion Conor McGregor, writing a full stop next to his 50-0 record as a professional fighter.
However, it’s clear that Mayweather hasn’t been satisfied with taking time away from the ring completely despite not entertaining the idea of trying to add to his remarkable unbeaten record.
Mayweather in exhibition fights
The American first dabbled in the world of exhibition fights back in 2018 when he scored a breath-taking knockout victory over Japanese kick-boxer Tenshin Nasukawa.
And in even stranger circumstances last year, Mayweather went 10 rounds with YouTuber Logan Paul in a contest that continues to make headlines due to controversy surrounding the payments.
But regardless of what you might think about Mayweather’s exhibition endeavours, you can be assured that it doesn’t look as though they’ll be ending any time soon.
Floyd Mayweather vs Don Moore
That’s because the 45-year-old looked to be having the time of his life when he finally exchanged leather in his long-awaited clash with Don Moore in the United Arab Emirates.
With the initial fight date having been postponed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s passing, the exhibition bout finally got underway this weekend with Mayweather making quite the impact.
Despite Moore having competed as a boxer between 1999 and 2016, he was unsurprisingly bested by ‘Money’ for great swathes of the contest and even hit the canvas in the eighth round.

Mayweather shows Moore his power
The moment that Mayweather managed to send his opponent to the ground was a reminder of just how formidable a fighter he was during his heyday – and Moore was lucky to survive the onslaught.
In the end, Moore was able to weather the storm and make it all the way to a decision, but be sure to check out the moment that he tasted the full force of Mayweather’s power down below:

Exhibition or not, that’s got to hurt.
Mayweather might not have been known for his power during a lucrative professional career defined by defensive brilliance, but that’s not to say that he doesn’t pack a serious punch.
Mayweather living his best life
And it proved to be the only real flash point in an exhibition contest that will probably attract more column inches for the moment that Mayweather decides to take over as the ring girl.

At the end of the day, though, these gimmicky boxing matches are exactly that and anyone genuinely expecting Mayweather to roll back the clock should probably have been forewarned.
Jake Paul reacts on Twitter
Besides, we live in a world where Mayweather, one of the greatest male boxers in history, is being called out by a YouTuber in Jake Paul who has also made a killing from slipping on boxing gloves.
Paul reacted to Mayweather’s exhbition fight with Moore by tweeting: “I would beat Floyd and Anderson in the same night.” It’s a crazy world that we live in.
