Manchester City showed their incredible class to overcome Aston Villa and clinch Premier League glory with a quite unbelievable comeback on the final day of the season.

Pep Guardiola's side, who have lead the league for the majority of the season were in no mood to leave the door ajar for fierce rivals Liverpool.

City, on a day where their ruthless efficiency was on full display, celebrated their hard-earned title among their adoring home fans at the Etihad Stadium after the most incredible of comebacks.

For Guardiola and co. it will have been an incredibly satisfying moment after what has been a titanic title battle in these last few weeks.

His side held their nerve for the most part and, when faced with the prospect of one of Liverpool's favourite sons wanting to spoil their party, they showed their bottle.

They certainly had to do it the hard way after going into the break a goal down after a Matty Cash header left the home fans stunned.

Things then got even worse for Guardiola's side as Philippe Coutinho smashed home to double Villa's lead.
