The Sasha Banks and Naomi saga continues to rage on with new reports claiming The Boss was unhappy with Ronda Rousey being given her WrestleMania spot.

It has now been a week since the Women’s Tag Team Champions walked out of Monday Night Raw, just as the show was about to go on air. The pair were unhappy with the creative plan for them and their role in the night’s main event, which was scheduled to eb a Six-Pack challenge to determine the number one contender to the Raw Women’s Championship.

The main event was changed at the last minute to Becky Lynch vs. Asuka and in the aftermath of Banks and Naomi’s walkout, the pair have been stripped of their tag titles and ‘suspended indefinitely’ by WWE.

Reports have emerged since the walkout that Sasha and Naomi were unhappy at the creative plans going forward, while there also has been suggestions around the women’s possible contract renewals.

Now, in a further update on the situation, David Meltzer has explained on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Banks’ issues with creative also stem for her WrestleMania ‘snub’ in favour of Ronda Rousey.

Plans for the SmackDown Women’s title match in Dallas originally saw Sasha Banks challenging Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, but the match was given to Rousey instead. Something which Meltzer states made The Boss ‘mad’.

Sasha has always had issues, you know she was mad that Ronda got the WrestleMania spot, which you know was planned for Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair, which was planned for months, I wrote about it. She got moved down and they gave her the tag belts as kinda like a concession because she got moved down.

WWE haven’t held back when reprimanding the two Superstars, with Michael Cole announcing on air that the champions were stripped of their titles and confirming their suspension.

With the Women’s Tag Team Championships now vacant, a tournament is set to be scheduled to crown new champions, while the future of Sasha and Naomi in WWE right now looks pretty bleak.
