The WWE world has been through the wringer in recent years.

Controversy after controversy has shrouded the company in negativity, as well as the rise of other wrestling companies such as AEW.

The latest chapter saw Naomi and Sasha Banks walk out of a live taping of Monday Night Raw.

As a result, they have been stripped of their Women’s Tag Titles as well as being admonished from the face of the franchise in a number of ways. This includes the removal of merchandise and advertising.

Commentator Michael Cole described the duo as having “let us all down” before going on to say how they had wronged millions of fans through their departure.

It isn’t just negativity that Banks and Naomi have been met with in the midst of this situation. One such supporter appears to be Snoop Dogg.

Whilst they have been labelled as “unprofessional” by the WWE itself, the iconic US rapper has come to their aide. He posted a photo of him and Banks on Instagram with the caption ‘bloodline’, reminding us all that the pair are cousins.

One can be assured that there is still plenty more fallout to come from this latest dramatic event surrounding the once untouchable wrestling franchise.

The official line from the WWE is one that is clearly trying to paint themselves out as the victims.

“They claimed they weren’t respected enough as tag team champions. And even though they had eight hours to rehearse and construct their match, they claimed they were uncomfortable in the ring with two of their opponents even though they’d had matches with those individuals in the past with no consequence.”

This was said after the pair “placed their tag team championship belts on his [WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis] desk and walked out.”

It remains to be seen where their future lies…
