Boca Juniors added yet another trophy to their enormous collection last Sunday evening.
The Argentine outfit defeated Tigre 3-0 to win the Copa de la Liga title, a hybrid league and playoff tournament that began back in February.
Goals from Marcos Rojo, Frank Fabra and Luis Vazquez secured Boca’s 50th domestic triumph.
The win also means that the Buenos Aires-based outfit have qualified for next season’s Copa Libertadores, the South American equivalent of the Champions League.
It was a huge victory for Boca and Rojo – who broke the deadlock against Tigre in first half stoppage-time – certainly made the most of the occasion.
After the match, the former Manchester United defender casually smoked a cigarette and drank some beer while still on the pitch.

Fair play, Marcos.
The hot-headed defender was a bit of a fan favourite when he was at United and has been a real hit since returning to his native Argentina back in 2021.
Rojo has played 45 games for Boca, scoring three goals in that time. He’s also picked up 15 yellow cards, which will come as a shock to absolutely no one.
Rojo spent seven years at United after joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2014 and went on to make 122 appearances for the club.
His spell in the north of England was hampered somewhat by a serious knee injury he sustained in a Europa League match against Anderlecht in 2017.
Rojo spent over six months on the treatment table and was never really able to regain a place in the starting XI on a permanent basis after.
Still, he left Old Trafford with FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League winner medals to his name, which certainly isn’t a bad trophy haul at all.
