Tottenham forward Heung Min Son not being linked away from the club more often is "surprising", according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Son has been one of the top attacking players in the Premier League for several years, but his future has never come under threat like Harry Kane's did last summer, despite Spurs' failings in recent seasons.

What's the latest news involving Son?

Since the 98-cap South Korea international made the switch from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, he's improved with every season, culminating in his first ever Golden Boot following his brace at Norwich City on Sunday.

Overall, Son has been directly involved in an incredible 205 goals in 325 Tottenham appearances, sometimes even outperforming Kane, who only managed 17 in the league in 2021-2022 for example.

This season alone, Son's 23 goals and nine assists played a huge part in helping Antonio Conte's side qualify for the Champions League for the first time in three years.

Despite Son's outstanding goalscoring form, he wasn't even nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award, even though only Mohamed Salah contributed to more goals and assists than him.

Furthermore, besides some brief links with Bayern Munich back in the summer of 2021, Son's future in north London has never been in doubt, and Bridge has been left "stunned" by the lack of transfer activity involving the 29-year-old.

What did Bridge say about Son?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "Do you know what, I heard the same thing this week and it got me thinking. I was looking at it and thought 'yeah', it's a really interesting one. I'm stunned by it. So, to answer the question, I am surprised he doesn't [get linked away more]."

How has Son performed this season?

You only have to look at WhoScored's player ratings to know exactly how good the Tottenham ace has performed this term.

Only Kevin De Bruyne and Salah have a higher rating in England's top-flight this season, with Son's mark of 7.52 putting him narrowly ahead of Kane (7.45).

Son scored a career-best 23 goals in his 35 Premier League outings, including one hat-trick and three braces, while he ended the season by scoring 12 goals in 10 games, which ultimately proved the difference in Spurs' top four chase.

He also showed his unselfish side by chipping in with nine assists, which meant he was directly involved in more than 47 per cent of Tottenham's 68 top-flight goals.

Despite the odd quiet spell, it was another fine season from Son, and if Conte can keep him and Kane fit and firing next term, then Spurs could become a force to be reckoned with once more.
