The Premier League drew to a quite magnificent close on Sunday as Manchester City clinched their fourth title in five years.

All had looked lost at the Etihad after Aston Villa tore up the script by going two goals ahead midway through the second-half.

City, however, showed their mettle to come roaring back with three goals in the space of only minutes to wrestle back control of the title race.

That meant heartbreak for Liverpool who had begun to believe that a miracle might just be on the cards at Anfield.

The end-of-season prizes were also shared, with Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-Min sharing the Golden Boot while Brazilian duo Alisson and Ederson split the Golden Glove.

It was the crescendo that the season deserved after nine months of roller-coaster drama.
