Roman Reigns: Ex-WWE star's touching story proves what a class act 'Tribal Chief' is

Roman Reigns victorious at WWE WrestleMania

Roman Reigns is, without doubt, the top guy in WWE right now.

Actually, since the break up of The Shield in 2014, Roman Reigns has arguably been treated as the number one star in the entirety of WWE.

But since 2020, when he turned into ‘The Tribal Chief’ it’s been undeniable that Roman is the biggest star in wrestling.

However, Roman’s influence doesn’t appear to stop on-screen, as he seems to be a true locker room leader when the cameras aren’t on too.

During his time with WWE, Aleister Black shared a rather touching story about Roman Reigns, proving what a class act the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is.

Back in 2017, while he was part of NXT, Black was brought onto WWE’s main roster tour of Europe, given that’s where he grew up.

Wanting to show respect to the other performers, Aleister would clean up the locker room ever night after the shows, but Roman Reigns didn’t want that.

Black recalled that Reigns pulled him to the side and told him that he didn’t have to clean the locker room for the other wrestlers, telling the former NXT Champion that he “belonged”.

Reigns told Black to “relax”, which the Dutchman really appreciated, explaining:

I want you to understand that you belong here and I want for you to kill it every night and be part of the team. That’s all I care about. You’ve been wrestling long enough to understand how this works, so please, relax.

It would be another two years before Aleister Black arrived on WWE’s main roster, but he sure appreciated Roman’s words to him when he wasn’t there yet.

When you hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, it shows why WWE management was right to pick Roman Reigns as the leader of its men’s division.
