Photos of Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert have emerged that have demonstrated just how much he has changed since he has been in the NFL.

The Los Angeles Chargers certainly fell on the lucky side of life when they drafted Justin Herbert with the 6th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, as they managed to go from Philip Rivers, a quarterback who could be on his way to the Hall of Fame to one of the best young signal-callers in the league.

His first two seasons in the NFL have shown that he is on an unreal trajectory to help make the Chargers one of the big teams in the league and one that could end up challenging for a Super Bowl victory one day.

In his 32 starts, he’s already put up 9,350 passing yards and 69 touchdowns to go along with 8 rushing touchdowns, setting multiple records for NFL rookies in his first campaign, including most touchdowns with 30.

The records keep on tumbling

Not only that, but he kept up his impressive form in his second season, setting even more records, such as the most passing yards in a quarterback's first two seasons, the most total touchdowns in a quarterback's first two seasons with 77 and becoming the first quarterback to record 30 touchdown passes in each of his first two seasons.

So for him there certainly was no ‘second-year slump’ in the league, but sadly the rest of the team weren’t abel to take advantage of his talent. A number of injuries across the team really hurt them in 2021 and might have made the difference in getting them into the playoffs as they fell at the final hurdle.

But judging by Herbert’s body, he isn’t going to let anybody else stop him from achieving what he wants this season.

Loading up the cannon arm

In a Twitter post from NFL reporter Dov Kleinman, it appears as though Herbert has been putting in plenty of effort to bulk up heading into his third year, as he showed some photos of just how much he has changed since his first year in the league:

Herbert already has a pretty strong arm to work with, so what this current transformation is set to lead to we can only guess at, but it could lead to some incredible numbers for both him and his Chargers teammates this season.

Which could hopefully lead to his first playoff berth if things fall their way this year.
