Bethesda has finally revealed that Elder Scrolls 6 is finally in development and hype is through the roof for this one. Here’s everything known about the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6.
The Elder Scrolls 6 was first announced to be in early development back during E3 in 2018 and there’s still not much known about the game. A teaser trailer for the game was released but just as a way to let players know that they are working on a new Elder Scrolls title.
Bethesda has been completely tight lipped about the game and is probably focusing most of their attention and resources to their newest IP, Starfield.
While the successor to the previous game is still way off in the horizon a few leaks and tid bits of information have managed to creep up, enough to fuel and maintain the hype and enthusiasm among fans.
That said, here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming the Elder Scrolls 6.
There is no new information or details surrounding the game for now but we will update this area if there is any new leak or details shared.
Probably the major question amongst fans is when the Elder Scrolls 6 will be coming out and unfortunately, the answer to this question still remains largely unknown. Bethesda has not even shared a tentative release year per se and it’s hard to say how far along the game has come or been in development.
Based on pure speculation, the game might release sometime in late 2025 or beyond. We will keep this article updated as more things are shared.
Elder Scrolls 6 Leaks and Rumours
While talking with The Telegraph Tom Howard said that the studio is still figuring out and working on the technology that The Elder Scrolls 6 will require. He said, “It’s good to think of The Elder Scrolls 6 as still being in a design [phase]. But we’re checking the tech: ‘Is this going to handle the things we want to do in that game?’ Every game will have some new suites of technology so Elder Scrolls 6 will have some additions on to Creation Engine 2 that that game is going to require.”
This clearly means that the developers are still formulating ideas and concepts surrounding the game and there’s still a lot of ground to cover.
Till now, there’s only one official trailer for the game and that’s also more of a title reveal than anything else, just to let people know that an Elder Scrolls game is finally in the works.
Todd Howard himself presented The Elder Scrolls 6 teaser trailer at E3 in 2018. We are sure that more such trailers will be announced in the future but for now, this is the only thing we have.
Will Elder Scrolls 6 be an Xbox exclusive?
Since Microsoft owns Bethesda and all its IPs, so yes the Elder Scrolls 6 will be an Xbox exclusive and on PC when it launches. While talking to GQ Phil Spencer said, “It’s not about punishing any other platform, like I fundamentally believe all of the platforms can continue to grow, but in order to be on Xbox, I want us to be able to bring the full complete package of what we have. And that would be true when I think about Elder Scrolls VI. That would be true when I think about any of our franchises.”
The Elder Scrolls 6 Potential Location
Another leak suggests that the upcoming game would be set in Hammerfell, the home of the Redguards. The leak also claims that the game will have some sort of political system. However, nothing has been officially been confirmed yet. That’s all we know so far about The Elder Scrolls 6.
