The 22-year-old has had a strong season at Rangers, which has led to him attracting interest from a number of clubs in England.
What’s the latest news involving Bassey?
Bassey made 50 appearances in all competitions for the Gers this term, and the defender chipped in with six assists.
He finished the campaign well, and according to The Daily Record, he is wanted by five Premier League clubs and two Serie A sides.
One of those English clubs believed to be interested is Wolves, who will be looking to bolster their squad this summer after a disappointing end to the season.

What has Jones said about Bassey?
Bassey particularly caught the eye during Rangers’ Europa League final defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt, with talkSPORT presenter Jason Cundy labelling him “sensational“, and he impressed again in his team’s Scottish Cup final victory over Hearts three days later.
Jones feels he has shown enough to prove that he deserves a move to England’s top-flight.
Speaking about Bassey’s future, Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I think there’ll be other teams linked in the next few weeks too, because he looks to be the standout player from that Rangers team that could come straight into the Premier League.
“Obviously, there are others there too that clubs are sniffing around, but he’s the man of the moment, Bassey, and I think he does look worthy of a Premier League move.”
Could Bassey be the ideal replacement for Romain Saiss?
Romain Saiss has been a loyal servant to Wolves, but he hinted in an interview with Sky Sports earlier this month that his time at the club could be coming to an end.
Therefore, Bruno Lage could be looking for a new defender to cover the left hand-side of his back three, and Bassey would appear to be a suitable target for this role.
He has played in that position on a number of occasions this season, and there is no reason why he wouldn’t flourish alongside the likes of Conor Coady and Max Kilman.
The £10,000-a-week defender has also featured as a full-back regularly during the course of the campaign, and this has been a problem position for Wolves, with neither Rayan Ait-Nouri or Marcal delivering the goods on a consistent basis.
Bassey could also move into this role from time to time, and his versatility may be a huge asset to Wolves if they can convince him to move to Molineux when the transfer window re-opens.
