Heung-min Son is the first Asian player to win the Premier League Golden Boot.
The Tottenham Hotspur star finished the 2021/22 season on 23 goals, with not a single one of them coming from the penalty spot.
Son was leading the race for a short period of time after a quickfire brace in the second half of Spurs’ 5-0 victory away at Norwich City.
Although, it looked for a considerable amount of time that the South Korean forward would fail to find the back of the net at Carrow Road.
Spurs were totally dominant against Norwich, but Tim Krul was one of the few players for the home side who played relatively well and he denied Son on a number of occasions.
And Krul’s saves resulted in a rather humorous interaction between him and Eric Dier on the pitch.
A video clip has surfaced on social media in which the Spurs defender appears to shout “what’s Salah giving you?” at the Norwich goalkeeper.
Check out the footage…

You cheeky boy, Eric.
But Dier’s mind games clearly worked, because Son went on to fire the ball into the back of Krul’s net twice in the space of just five minutes.
Son’s record at Spurs now reads 131 goals and 74 assists in 325 appearances across all competitions.
For a player who is not exactly an out-and-out striker, those numbers are quite extraordinary.
He will go down as one of the Premier League’s greatest ever players and it’s easy to forget that Spurs paid just £22 million to Bayer Leverkusen for his services back in 2015.
Now all Son needs to do is win a trophy with the north London club…
