Activision might just have spilt the beans regarding COD Modern Warfare 2 preorder and beta details. Here’s what we know so far.
After a ton of leaks and rumours, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has finally got a release date of October 28 and Activision might also reveal more about the game in the coming weeks.
With the game’s release date now set, it seems as if the developers have mistakenly shared some pre-order and beta details – along with Vanguard’s Call of Duty Season 3 Reloaded update.
Warzone Pacific Season 3 just got its midseason update, bringing several new changes. The update also has game files which contain details about Modern Warfare 2’s pre-order bundle details.
Here’s all you need to know about the preorder details leak.
COD MW2 Pre-order and Beta dates?
It’s only been a day since the Vanguard Call of Duty Season 3 Reloaded update dropped and players are already finding new things in the game’s update files. Now, some eagle-eyed players have spotted details surrounding Activision’s next big campaign title.
As per CharlieIntel, three editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have been leaked. These include a Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Bundle, and a Vault Edition of the game, which, as expected, will have additional items such as bonus operator skins and battle pass tier skips.
The tweet also informs that the Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta “first on PlayStation” is confirmed, which means an official announcement might be imminent. The Vault edition is said to contain:
- Battle Pass + 50 Tier Skips
- Red Team 141 Operator Pack: Ghost, Soap, Price, Farah Operators
- FJX Cinder Weapon Vault
- 10 Hours 2XP + 2WXP
- Ghost Legacy Pack: 12 Operator Skins & 10 Weapon Blueprints
- Early Access to the Open Beta
In another tweet, CharlieIntel also shared what one of the preorder deals will read, which was discovered in the Vanguard update files: “Welcome to the new era of Call of Duty. Preorder the Cross-Gen Bundle for Early Access to the Open Beta–first on PS4 and PS5.”
This leak pretty much makes it clear that Activision will continue its current deal of PlayStation-exclusive content and preorder bonuses for Call of Duty and launch the next COD game on last-gen consoles too.
