Ten Hag has officially taken over as the Red Devils’ manager and may freshen up the squad when the upcoming transfer window opens for business next month.
What’s the latest news involving ten Hag’s transfer plans?
A number of players are set to leave Manchester United before ten Hag has even enjoyed a match in charge, with Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Lee Grant’s respective contracts expiring in a matter of weeks.
However, the new Red Devils chief has been offered the chance to sign Sergino Dest after the Barcelona star’s representatives made contact.
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has also urged ten Hag to offer Norwich City right-back Max Aarons a route back into the Premier League.
While West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has been identified as a top target, he is not expected to force through a move away from the London Stadium.
Meanwhile, ten Hag has revealed ‘no agreements’ are in place for any of the top stars he coached at Ajax to follow him to the red half of Manchester.

What has Ryan Taylor said about the situation?
Taylor believes seeing the likes of Pogba, Cavani and Lingard depart will leave a void in the squad inherited by ten Hag.
As a result, the journalist is expecting Manchester United to be busy when the transfer window reopens in a matter of weeks.
Taylor told GIVEMESPORT: “If you take into account that five in Pogba, Cavani, Matic, Mata and Lingard are all going, they need at least five because I think these are gaps in the squad that need plugging, effectively.
“Obviously, we don’t tend to see transfer windows where clubs sign 10 players because it’s so hard to do a transfer nowadays, but I certainly think United will be looking to bring in upwards of five, more towards seven or eight new additions.”
Could there be any more departures from Man United?
Manchester United are looking to wipe £80million off the wage bill during the upcoming transfer window, so it is likely that even more stars will be shown the exit door.
Central defenders Eric Bailly and Phil Jones could be among those to move onto pastures new as they have told their team-mates they are planning to secure a move away.
